Spyder : Team Venom

"Worn by resortgoers and racers, beginners and experts, Spyder is synonymous with the entire sport of skiing," claims Frank Creative Workgroup AD Garrett Jones. In this print and poster work, however, "the challenge was to reach out to the younger, more contemporary freeskiing audience the brand had not previously been communicating with. Our goal was to leverage Spyder's best assets its Team Venom athletes by commissioning illustrators who could lend a surreal, larger-than-life sense to their personalities. We wanted to create portraits that elevate the athletes to an iconic superhero status in order to rightfully claim Spyder's place within the new force of freeski."
