Milka Vending Machine Makes You Work Hard for the Chocolate
Stunt out of David Argentina aims to bring people closer together
Sep 04, 2013
Are we sick of vending machines yet? How about stunts? Well, yes, and no. It's hard to totally knock what's become a couple of the biggest trends in advertising of the last couple years -- especially when they (at least seem to) continue to inspire genuine delight among those who participate in them. Such is the case with this new effort for candy brand Milka out of David, Argentina, which conceived this machine-based prank that asks people to give just a little bit of themselves, in order to get a little bit of chocolate.
The agency devised a peculiar setup involving a Milka machine and a purple cow statue. The machine had no slots for coins, so passersby had to use some brains -- and a bit of skin -- to figure out how to access the goods.
Around the world, the Mondelez brand has been on a tear getting people to turn away from their devices and become closer to each other, such as in this recent effort involving a missing piece of chocolate out of Buzzman Paris.
