French soccer star Thierry Henry "time travels" through some classic moments in the U.K.'s Premier League soccer in this ad from Sky Sports marking the start of the new season.

The spot, by Brothers & Sisters and directed by Scott Lyon of Outsider, digitally transposes Henry into old footage of games, victories, arguments and more. We see him joining legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson as he wins his first title; consoling Kevin Keegan after Newcastle loses to Liverpool, and coming face to face with his younger self when Arsenal won the League at White Hart Lane.

According to the agency, making this happen included some feats of production such as filming Henry under the same motion camera conditions and lighting, at the right time of day, to match up the new and old film, and building a tunnel wall to allow him to "eavesdrop" on Manchester United Roy Keane's argument with Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira. Electric Theatre Collective is responsible for the great VFX.

Football-mad Brits are impressed by the ad already: London paper Metro is even conducting a poll asking "Is this the best advert ever?" while the Mirror called it "the greatest thing in the history of the universe."
