Dua Lipa shows her 'many flavors' as face of Truly Hard Seltzer

The singer showcases her love of dogs and yoga in colorful spot directed by David LaChappelle

Boston Beer Company's Truly is the latest hard seltzer to invest heavily in marketing, signing singer Dua Lipa, fresh off her wins at the BRIT Awards and the Grammys, to be the face of its brand.

Lipa appears in a colorful new TV spot from Goodby Silverstein & Partners, directed by David LaChapelle, that will debut this weekend during "Saturday Night Live." Set to her hit track "Physical," the ad includes an animated version of the singer running after her dog and calling after him in Albanian (her parents are from Kosovo) as well as dancing and doing yoga.

It's all to show that she's a yoga-loving, bilingual dog mom as well as a pop star, illustrating Truly's message that "No one is just one flavor."

As well as appearing in the TV spot, Lipa will be featured in social, digital and out-of-home activations by the brand. Promotions will invite consumers to win concert prizes and VIP experiences to meet her. The campaign will also include a summer content and livestream concert series called "Truly Inspired" featuring artists picked by Lipa. 

The brand's push also includes outdoor activations in New York and Los Angeles, allowing people to interact with fractalized mirrors and take selfies to share on Instagram. 

“To me, 'No One Is Just One Flavor' means that we all have many facets,” said Dua Lipa in a statement. “There are so many different parts of us that make us unique—whether that’s speaking different languages, your job, or where you call home. All those tiny little parts, those tiny flavors, make you who you are—and we should celebrate that!”

“'No One is Just One Flavor' is a rallying cry to encourage our fans to keep fearlessly exploring the many distinct sides of themselves, because it’s these unique qualities that make life fun, interesting, and joyful,” added Truly VP Don Lane.
