'12 Years a Slave' Star Chiwetel Ejiofor Enlisted to Launch 'Win the Right Way' Campaign
Oct 02, 2014
Chiwetel Ejiofor, the Oscar-nominated star of "12 Years a Slave," delivers a passionate soliloquy from a boxing ring about "being the change the world wants to see" as part of a global campaign from Chivas Regal backing the launch of an investment fund for "social entrepreneurs."
The Pernod Ricard-owned whiskey brand has launched The Venture with a campaign titled "Win the Right Way" to give assistance to entrepreneurs behind "businesses that are run not just for the benefit of shareholders, but to address social issues." People can apply by submitting their business ideas at a dedicated site created by digital agency AnalogFolk. Up to 20 of the most promising will be invited to a "training camp" in Silicon Valley, where they will meet and be mentored by tech experts, and have a chance to win a share of $1 million in funding.
Chivas has released three versions of the ad by Havas Worldwide; a U.S. version is fronted by Oscar Isaac ("Inside Llewyn Davis") while Liao Fan stars in the film created for the Asian market. Daniel Wolfe directed all three through production company Somesuch.
