The media industry may be in need of an exorcism.

A film from AMC Networks revealing the unholy nature of the annual upfront ad haggle and jargon such as “ROI,” “CPM” and “alternative currency” may send a chill down media buyers’ spines as negotiation season approaches.

The satirical short, created by and starring horror writer, director and producer Josh Ruben in partnership with AMC Networks’ Content Room, premiered during the media company’s upfront show on Wednesday. Watch it below, if you dare:

The film was part of AMC’s pitch for branded horror content partnerships with Ruben throughout the year. The audience of media agency executives and clients responded with fiendish laughter.

The horror short follows Tubi’s amusing series of short films for last year’s upfront. Created by agency Mischief, those films also commiserated with media buyers during the hectic season.
