As the pandemic drags on, people stuck at home are running out of things to do—and to read. Enter webcomic site WEBTOON, full of serialized drama, comedy and romance, sometimes all in the same story.

The second installment of “Stories to Obsess Over,” a campaign from Fred & Farid Los Angeles shot by actors in isolation in their own homes, features Kimiko Glenn (“Orange Is the New Black”) mulling her relationship with a man named Frederick and lamenting her looks, which don’t match the actor’s at all.

That’s because it’s the plot of “Cursed Princess Club,” a webcomic that follows a group of teenaged royalty banished from their ancestral palaces because of terrible hexes that cause them to belch frogs or have replaced their eyes with glowing portals to another dimension.

Of course there are princes, too (including the aforementioned Frederick) and plenty of political maneuvering and relationship drama to be had. And, as Glenn realizes at the end of her monologue, there’s also self-acceptance waiting at the end of this fairy tale.
