U.K. supermarket giant Sainsbury's continues its "Living Well" campaign with another spot that aims to capture the way that people shop for food today.
The new TV ad shows various tired, hungry people commuting home for the evening and texting their partners/friends/spouses about what's for dinner. Emojis (including poop), funny predictive texting ("God" instead of "Cod") and an older guy who hasn't got the hang of texting quickly all liven up the vignettes of different characters looking forward to their comfort carbs, curry and baby's favorite food to stop her being "hangry." What's more the approach feels modern and in tune with cooking and eating in 2017.
The spot was directed by Mees Peijnenburg at Iconoclast for Wieden + Kennedy London.
