Swedish digital strategist Jonas Larsson came up with the idea for YouGuysShouldLunch when looking for a new job; he found that despite having growing networks of professional contacts online, we don't use the connections to help each other.
As a result, Larsson put together a group of copywriters, designers and developers to create a site that makes innovative use of LinkedIn. Users log in using LinkedIn, choose two contacts who they think should meet for lunch, add a short message explaining why they should meet, and send the invitation. The Swedish version is already attracting some buzz, with Swedes tweeting with the hashtag #lunchaihop, and now there's an English version too.
