Learning Korean Chicken chain bb.q Chicken was founded in Korea in the ’90s and came to the U.S. in 2014. Its new national brand awareness campaign doubles as a language lesson. Online videos, made with the help of Hunt Valley, Maryland-based agency MGH, show people trying the chicken and complimenting it, followed by a Korean translation of what they just said. The home appliance company previously worked with Carat since March 2023. The news comes just a few months after SharkNinja appointed former Puma Chief Brand Officer Adam Petrick as its global chief marketing officer. Horizon will use its proprietary data platform blu. for media strategy, buying, and advanced analytics work across video, social, search, digital, programmatic, audio and out-of-home. SharkNinja will also utilize Horizon’s specialty groups Horizon Sports & Entertainment and Nightmarket. Nonprofit pro bono program in Idaho Boise, Idaho-based agency Stoltz Marketing Group is seeking applicants for an initiative offering pro bono marketing services to local nonprofits. One nonprofit will receive 150 hours of services that amount to $25,000 worth of work through its Creators for Change initiative. The agency, which has worked with local non-profits through this program since 2019, decided to relaunch the program with a new name, logo and more donated hours. Elevator cafe Coffee appliance company Nespresso is making sure people can get a cup of joe anywhere, even in the elevator of one of the tallest buildings in the world. Working with its lead agency of record nmbl, Nespresso launched a pop-up cafe at an elevator at One World Trade Center. The Vertuo Pop Café was inspired by Nespresso’s smallest product, Pop, and is one of the first of several pop-up cafes planned for different cities. The in-elevator cafe was designed with experiential company Invisible North. The campaign includes organic and paid social, as well as a partnership with Architectural Digest, which helped consult on the cafe’s design elements. In August, Nespresso and nmbl transformed gondolas on the Santa Monica Pier Ferris wheel into mini cafes, featuring trained baristas serving iced coffee. Dentsu hires and elevates key data and tech executives Dentsu announced executive moves within its data and tech team that are all newly created positions for the company. Shirli Zelcer was appointed chief data and technology officer, overseeing the company’s client-facing data-driven, analytics and technology-enabled products and platforms. Zelcer most recently served as global head of analytics and technology at Merkle. Dentsu also hired Steve Simpson as its president, data, audiences and technology. Simpson was most recently a senior global executive at Publicis. And it elevated Shiva Vannavada to president, data and technology solutions, an expansion of her prior role as global chief product and technology officer. Just briefly Tinuiti has made two key hires this week. The agency has hired Gisela Germano as executive VP, managing director, enterprise, and Simon Poulton as executive VP, innovation. Both are newly created roles for the agency. Germano most recently served as the North America senior VP of digital, strategy and communications planning for Havas Edge, which she helped launch under Havas. Poulton most recently worked as a chief data officer at Ignite Visibility. Industria Creative has appointed Samantha Ouellette as managing director, a newly created role for the agency. She was most recently general manager of media company Create & Cultivate.
