Mark D’Arcy, the former chief creative officer and head of global business marketing at Facebook (now Meta), has found his next job at martech company The Brandtech Group. D’Arcy will serve as partner and chief creative officer, with a focus on bringing tech-enabled solutions to brands, including new capabilities in Web3.
D’Arcy worked at Facebook for 10 years before leaving last August. He helped develop the strategy group Facebook Creative Shop, through which he was instrumental in teaching brands how to correctly advertise using social media.
In his new role, he will lead innovation in a space that, like social media a decade ago, poses significant disruption to the way that consumers use the internet. Web3 is seeing interest from brands across the industry, and The Brandtech Group has committed to exploring relevant technologies, like the metaverse and AR, to serve its clientele.
