Landor & Fitch, the WPP-owned brand and design consultancy, has hired Teemu Suviala away from Meta to become its new global chief creative officer.
Suviala had been global head of brand design for Meta’s Reality Labs. In his five-plus years at Meta, he worked on the company’s rebrand from Facebook, including the naming, branding and visual identity, and its metaverse brand design work in augmented and virtual reality. He previously held roles at brand design agencies Collins and Wolff Olins.
At Landor & Fitch, Suviala will lead creative teams across more than 20 countries, working with clients such as Apple, Netflix, Coca-Cola, Lego and the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. A particular focus will be integrating new technologies into the company's design offering.
“He’s an exceptional designer with a long track record of delivering transformative work and a compassionate leader with a truly global view,” said Jane Geraghty, Landor & Fitch’s CEO, to whom Suviala will report. “With our recent rapid growth and influx of new talent, Teemu’s passion for nurturing creative cultures makes him the perfect creative leader for us.”
