VML London has hired Senior Creative Team Eve Kemanes and Andreea Nedelcu, Senior Copywriter Paula Hochberg and Senior Designer Athina Collaro, bringing the office's creative department to 64 percent female. Kemanes has worked for agencies including Ogilvy, VCCP and Digitas. Nedelcu trained at Miami Ad School Europe and worked for Leo Burnett, JWT and Jung von Matt. Hochberg most recently worked at Senora Rushmore in Madrid. Collaro has worked at companies including Jo Malone, Avon, Hunter Boot and GlossyBox.
The One Club opens its first international chapter, in Cairo, Egypt. Enas Rashwan, president of Cairo Ad School, will serve as president of The One Club for Creativity-Cairo. The chapter will offer programming across multiple creative disciplines in four categories: education, inclusion and diversity, professional development and gender equality.
Regan Grafton has been promoted to chief creative officer at Ogilvy NZ, after three years as the agency's executive creative director. Lisa Fedyszyn and Jonathan McMahon have been promoted to executive creative directors, after joining the agency last year as group creative directors. Together they've worked on campaigns like "The most successful recruitment film" for the New Zealand Police.
Tricia Russo joins DDB Chicago as chief strategy officer, and Susie Lyons joins DDB New York as head of strategy. Most recently, Russo was chief strategy officer at BBDO Atlanta, and she has developed campaigns for clients including Hilton, Craftsman, Hotels.com, Heinz, HoneyBaked Ham and Norwegian Cruise Line. Lyons joins from Lifetime Networks, where she was VP of consumer marketing. She had held strategy roles at agencies like Deutsch and 180 and worked with clients including Target, Volkswagen, Nintendo, Expedia, Bacardi, Kia, The California State Lottery, Verizon Wireless, The US Tennis Association, Universal Studios, Lexus and the American Red Cross.
Eva Neveau has been named executive creative director of Accenture Interactive-owned agency MXM. Most recently, Neveau spent six years as group creative director at Publicis.Sapient in both Chicago and Austin, Texas, working with clients including Children's Hospital Colorado, Kellogg's Special K, Kraft Lunchables and Vera Bradley. Before that, she was a creative director at GSD&M on accounts like Ace Hardware, Southwest Airlines and Zales.
Martina Suess joins iCrossing as global head of marketing and communications. Most recently, she was vice president of global corporate communications at Wunderman. Prior to that, she was a regional program director for Brand Innovators and head of communications for investment firm Quotidian Ventures. She began her career in film publicity before breaking into advertising at Powell Communications.
