Dove (Super Bowl spot) Ogilvy’s spot shows a 3-year-old joyfully running to Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run,” before onscreen text warns that her happiness may be fleeting. Jack Neff has more about the campaign, including a Sports Illustrated partnership. Lay’s (Super Bowl spot) The brand focuses on potato farmers in its 60-second Super Bowl ad from Highdive and director Taika Waititi. A family of potato farmers head out for the day, leaving behind their daughter, who grows and cares for a potato of her own. Read more about the campaign here. Little Caesars (Super Bowl spot) McKinney’s spot stars Eugene Levy—more specifically, his eyebrows, which are raised so high by the chain’s Crazy Puffs that they fly clear off his face. Meta (Super Bowl spot) The first of Meta’s two Super Bowl spots stars Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt and promotes Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. The spot, made in-house, has some fun with Kris Jenner’s personal art collection. Nerds (Super Bowl spot) A spot from Digitas Chicago features Shaboozey and animated Nerds to promote Nerds Gummy Clusters. Read more here. Skechers (Super Bowl spot) Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid stars in Skechers’ Super Bowl spot, in which he claims to be a hand model—which is why he likes the brand’s hands-free Skechers Slip-ins. The spot was made in-house. Squarespace (Super Bowl spot) Irish actor Barry Keoghan stars in Squarespace’s Big Game ad, playing a visitor from the future who delivers websites to entrepreneurs of yore across Ireland. The extended spot is below; a :30 will air during the game. We also spoke with Squarespace chief creative officer David Lee about the brand’s “indie film” approach to Super Bowl spots. Stella Artois (Super Bowl spot) David Beckham meets his long-lost American twin—“Dave Beckham,” played by Matt Damon—and discovers they have more in common than a name in Stella’s Super Bowl ad. Uber Eats (Super Bowl spot) The delivery service continues its campaign that’s been running during the NFL season—that suggesting football exists only to make us hungry—in this :60 from Special Group U.S. Matthew McConaughey, Martha Stewart, Charli XCX, Kevin Bacon, Sean Evans and Greta Gerwig star. Read more from Erika Wheless. Apple Pay Zach Woods helps rescue dogs in the latest installment of the "Can I _____ with Apple Pay?" social media series. Directed by Woods, the mostly improvised spot follows him as he humorously spoils the pups using Apple Pay’s seamless payment experience across local pet-focused businesses. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Apple Pay (@applepay) FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) The nonprofit is debuting a Super Bowl PSA online only to raise awareness of food allergies as a life-threatening disease, starring Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty and his daughter Kai, who herself has food allergies. The 90-second spot, titled “The Kitchen,” draws parallels between preparing for the Big Game and managing food allergy safety at home. Agency Macroscopic led creative. Frank’s RedHot A year after its Super Bowl campaign with Jason Kelce, the hot sauce brand is back with a sequel of sorts starring Paris Hilton. The collaboration with Hilton’s 11:11 Media includes Hilton making gameday recipes and encouraging fans to show how they heat up their favorite foods with Frank’s. Prizes include $1,000 in cash (going to 59 winners) as well as five custom crystal-bedazzled bottles of Frank’s RedHot, designed in collaboration with Hilton. Colle McVoy is the agency behind the campaign. Trantolo & Trantolo The personal injury law firm is running humorous regional Super Bowl spots in western Massachusetts, Connecticut and Long Island featuring owner and president Keith Trantolo showing up at clients’ houses with big checks, big news and a big team. The spots introduce a new logo and identity system and will run alongside digital, radio and outdoor ads, developed by San Francisco-based agency SOS. Little Moving Pictures handled production, and Double Solitaire directed. Xbox Palette Group created “Meet Game Maker's Journey,” a doumentary series for Xbox about gaming studios in non-traditional markets. The first episode visits Ile-Ife, Nigeria, where college students have created a studio and are bringing the world the first AAA title rooted in Yoruba culture. Check out the trailer below.
