5. WWF: “Fornite” No Build Challenge, We Are Social
Who knew “Fortnite” could help save the planet? The World Wildlife Federation and agency We Are Social in France were behind this contest that challenges “Fortnite” gamers to play without exploiting any natural resources. If you’ve ever played the game, you know that’s a tremendous ask, but it’s a powerful way to drive home the WWF’s conservation message.
4. Lysol: Teddy Repair, McCann New York
Here’s a cute stunt from Lysol and McCann New York meant to illustrate how the brand can keep your household—specifically, your kids’ playthings—germ free. They created a hospital of sorts where children can send their damaged, filthy stuffed toys and get them back looking like new (and, they say, sanitized).
3. Pizza Hut U.K.: Deal Jacker, Iris
Domino’s is known as the fast-food industry’s technology innovator, but in the U.K., Pizza Hut might have just topped it with its own AR app: People can scan any Domino’s delivery deals and it will serve up a better one from Pizza Hut.
2. Volvo: Place Your Hand Here, Forsman & Bodenfors
Volvo is promoting women’s safety in cars with its Equal Vehicles for All initiative, and is providing the data it collected to competing auto brands. The initiative found women are more likely than men to get hurt in a collision because safety tests historically use male crash test dummies. To promote the initiative, Forsman & Bodenfors created this compelling print ad, which shows how likely you are to get injured in a car crash. If your hand is too small to cover the man-size silhouette, the higher your chances.
1. Sprite: Facing Hater, Santo, Buenos Aires
Sprite and agency Santo brought an online bully face-to-face with 100 of the people that he trashed online. What happened might surprise you. It’s the latest in their excellent “I Love You, Hater” campaign, which seeks to neutralize online hate with messages of love.
