Every weekday we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, the always-on TV ad measurement and attribution company. The ads here ran on national TV for the first time over the weekend (Feb. 7-9).
A few highlights: In an Oscars ad, Rolex pays tribute to four iconic filmmakers who in turn pay tribute to their mentors. In another Oscars ad, Postmates serves up one man’s burger-obsessed reverie. (Last week Ad Age previewed a bunch of commercials created for the Academy Awards telecast—see “Oscars 2020: Here’s what brands have planned for Hollywood’s biggest night”—but both Rolex and Postmates kept their spots under wraps until airtime.) And the Geico Gecko welcomes a couple to his neighborhood with some homemade biscuits—and, of course, a tip about homeowners insurance.
