Pizza Hut’s “Reverse Delivery” doormat features a QR code that delivery drivers (or anyone) can scan to receive a free pizza. From Dec. 6 to Dec. 10, fans can visit shopatpizzahut.com to order a free doormat (they will need to give their name, email and address; the chain says the first-party information is needed to administer the program and won't be used for marketing purposes). Pizza Hut will give away 50 doormats each day, and will spread the word about the doormats on its social media channels. GSD&M was involved in the effort.

Once a delivery driver scans the QR code, they will also be asked for their name, email and address to redeem a $25 Pizza Hut gift card code, while supplies last, and limited to one code per person. The 4,000 codes in total will be available until Dec. 27.
“Many of us look to delivery drivers to deliver joy during the holiday season,” Lindsay Morgan, Pizza Hut’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “This was our chance to give some cheer back in the form of a delicious meal for delivery drivers to enjoy during their busiest time of the year.”
The campaign is in line with a larger trend on TikTok of people putting together snack carts stocked with food and water for delivery drivers.
