Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The New Releases ran on TV for the first time yesterday or overnight (i.e., before dawn this morning; we've extended the "harvest" window for today's post because Tuesdays tend to be slow days for new commercial releases from big brands). The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week. See the methodology here.
Among the new releases, Clear Eyes offers an outdoor-themed version of its long-running campaign starring Vanessa Williams, while Dish Network serves up a subtitled, World Cup-themed spot to promote the "watch anywhere" functionality of its Hopper system. And Charmin also has World Cup fever, suggesting that "Everyone loves a great finish on ... and off the field" (cue a shot of satisfied-looking guy exiting a stadium men's room).
