Biscuit Filmworks has added two new signings to its roster: creative collective The Glue Society and Rachel McDonald. The Glue Society is a ten-member art and directing collective whose work includes experiential projects such as ANZ Bank's GAYTM installations, "Until We All Belong" for Airbnb, and "On the Go" for Stella Artois. Their awards include a Cannes Titanium, five Cannes Grands Prix and D&AD Yellow Pencils. McDonald, who joins the roster in the U.S. and U.K., has worked on campaigns for Facebook, Microsoft, Ikea, HP, and the Grammys. Her "Behind the Post" PSA for the One Love Foundation earned multiple awards including a Silver Cannes Lion. She has also written and directed short films including "Thirst" starring Melanie Griffith and documentary short "Uganda: Friends of the Gorilla."
Sibling Rivalry has added director Kristyna Archer to its roster. With a background in both directing and photography, Archer has worked on projects for clients including Google, Miller Lite, MGM Grand, Vans, Honda, Uber, Canon, Patron, Hershey's, and Mommy Bahama with 72andSunny.
BestFriend, the L.A, NY., and Boulder-based production studio,, has added writer/director Mickey Finnegan to its roster. His repertoire includes brand work for Beats, Dish, Pepsi, Intel, Nike, and Kia, directing for Esports and the Emmy-award winning Nick Jr. campaign "Girls in Charge," a movie trailer-inspired spot that blends live-action footage with Nick Jr.'s animated characters. His debut spot with BestFriend debut is a Krazy Glue ad via agency VML.
Cut + Run has added editor Aika Miyake to its roster. Tokyo-raised, California-educated Miyake is a former drummer who has collaborated with the likes of Wieden & Kennedy, Nike, Dentsu, TBWA, Mercedes Benz, and BMW. Her Nike Air Force 1 "Force" was shortlisted at Cannes for editing and her "Mom's First Birthday" for Pampers was honored at numerous award shows including Spikes, New York Festivals, ACC and Ad Stars. She is a member of Free The Bid.
Glassworks Amsterdam has promoted Head of Production Anya Kruzmetra to chief operating officer. Originally from Sydney, where she held roles at Blackbird VFX andVFX studio Fin Design & Effects, she moved to Glassworks Amsterdam in 2014 and has delivered projects for local and international clients such as Nike, EA, Samsung, Axe and Playstation. Glassworks also elevated Kyle Obley to head of 2D. He has worked for the company since 2011 and has taken the creative reins on projects for clients such as Nike, EA Sports, Corona and ESPN.
BigStar has added creative director John Leamy to its team. Leamy is currently working on the title design and branding for the upcoming PBS documentary series, "Chasing the Moon." He was most recently executive creative director at Leroy & Clarkson, where he helmed projects for National Geographic, Nasdaq, Nickelodeon, and ABC News. Prior to that, he was creative director at Spontaneous, where he led projects for a wide variety of clients, such as AT&T, Wendy's, Maybelline, and Lockheed Martin. In addition, he was a long-time creative partner of U2, for whom he created live concert visuals, music video, film, and print content.
