Whitehouse Post Signs Suhm, Humble Adds Mayo and More
Whitehouse Post has added editor Tobias Suhm to its Los Angeles roster for representation. Suhm has edited work for brands such as Nike, Mercedes, BMW, Gucci, Lexus, Kohler, and Stella Artois. He has established director relationships with, among others, Anders Hallberg of B-Reel, Randy Krallman of Smuggler, Marco Gentile of RSA and Daniel Warwick of Academy Films.
Content studio Humble has hired Click 3X partner Jason Mayo as director of business development. Mayo joins Humble after a 14-year tenure as a partner at Click 3X. He will work on the growth of Humble's sister company, design and VFX studio Postal, as well as finding talent alongside Creative Director Sam Stephens.
NYC-based production and post production studio Nice Shoes has appointed Executive Producer Tara Holmes to lead the studio's color and finishing division. Holmes was previously director of creative services at Company 3, executive producer of post production at Alldayeveryday, and senior producer at Cutting Room. Her hiring follows the addition of Angela Bowen as executive producer for Nice Shoes Creative Studio.
Little Minx has added Augusto Fraga to its directing roster. Portugal-born, Barcelona-based Fraga has worked on projects for the likes of Adidas, Playstation 4, Nivea, Vodafone, and a new campaign for beer brand Bitburger, as well as an upcoming Coca-Cola film for the Olympics that's set to wrap up early next year.
Culver City-based visual effects house Zoic Studios has added Jeff Blodgett as executive producer. Blodgett has over two decades of experience as an executive producer in VFX/animation, with stints at Sight Effects, Radium/Reel FX and Brickyard VFX. Blodgett joins current commercial division Executive Producers Ian Unterreiner and Matt Thunell.
Los Angeles-based creative studio Eskimo has opened an East Coast office in Philadelphia headed by Kristofer Barton, who joins as partner/executive producer. During his career, Barton has worked as a producer at various Philadelphia-based shops including production outfit Neighborhood Film Company and ad agency 160over90, collaborating with clients such as the Philadelphia Eagles along the way. Early on, he worked as a producer's assistant, working closely with director and fellow Philly native M. Night Shyamalan.
Integrated production facility Gramercy Park Studios has hired Matt Lowery as head of 3D based in the U.K.. Before joining GPS, Lowery was a senior 3D artist at Glassworks, and prior to that he was head of 3D at a Johannesburg-based post production facility.
Colorist Santiago Padilla has joined creative color boutique Incendio, where he will work alongside Luis Silva and Clark Muller. Padilla, whose portfolio spans feature films, music videos and commercials, began his post-production career at Riot, and has worked at Company 3, New Hat and, more recently, Picture Head. His credits include the upcoming feature "Low Riders,", music videos and Funny Or Die's "You're So Hot" series, as well as ad projects for DirecTV, NBA, and Dr. Dre's Beats1 podcast "The Pharmacy."
