Landia brings exquisite craft to its long-form gems

Production company Landia continues to rack up awards for work on some of the biggest brands on the planet. In particular, its 2024 output included striking long-form spots for companies such as Movistar and Apple—done in very different styles. See all of Ad Age’s 2025 Agency A-List winners here Movistar’s “This Is Not a Game,” a seven-minute film directed by Shannon via VML Mexico, raised awareness of the dangers facing young video gamers—specifically, how dangerous interacting with unknown online profiles can be. The creative cleverly made reality look like a game, so gamers would take notice. In another long-form triumph, Mexican American directors Cliqua directed Apple’s vibrant 13-minute short film “¡Suerte!,” to unveil the iPhone 15 Pro. The fantastical short focused on a young Música Mexicana singer, played by Iván Cornejo, who overcomes a block thanks to characters from the traditional bingo-style game of Lotería, including a fish, the devil, and a mermaid. Landia took home four golds, one silver and eight bronze Lions at the 2024 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for campaigns including DoorDash and NotCo. It also nabbed international awards for work with Coca-Cola. The 60-person company operates internationally across offices in Los Angeles, Mexico City, Madrid, São Paulo, Santiago and Bogotá—with every managing director having spent at least a decade at its Buenos Aires headquarters before relocating.
