Caviar bumbled its way gloriously into the new year with Will Ferrell’s side-splitting turn as an armchair environmentalist jealous of Norway’s planet-conscious cred in GM’s comedic Super Bowl spot. The push was directed by seasoned comedy pro Jake Szymnaski out of the company’s Gifted Youth division.

Fresh off the Hollywood awards circuit for his celebrated film “Sound of Metal,” Darius Marder directed a series of spots for Facebook Portal via TBWA/Chiat/Day New York that showcased how the device intimately brings together those far apart.
The campaign included a father finally coming out to his son as well as a near-soundless exchange between two sisters, one who is deaf, poking fun at each other as one prepares to go out on a date.
Jonathan Krisel of “Portlandia” fame applied his comedic chops to a Bush’s Beans campaign via Carmichael Lynch, which included a music video starring Josh Groban crooning passionately about his life-long love for legumes despite torments from classroom bullies.

Finally, Caviar produced an Olympics ad about Ford’s classics going electric, directed by Chloé Zhao (now repped out of Superprime) following her historical win at the Academy Awards as the first woman of color to earn the Best Director Oscar.
