Since 1997, Ad Age has been honoring women, highlighting the importance, leadership and progress that female executives have been bringing to the industry for decades through Women to Watch and now Leading Women. And while each of these executives has a unique story—a different path to success—many emphasize the importance of receiving support and encouragement early in their careers.
Nominate up-and-coming female leaders for Ad Age’s 2023 Rising Star awards
It is for that reason that Ad Age is bringing back the Rising Star awards as part of our Leading Women honorific. Introduced last year, the free-to-enter program is designed to recognize those who have shown promise and potential in three years or less with their current company. And for 2023, we are excited to have the partnership of Ally, whose own chief marketing and PR officer, Andrea Brimmer, was named to the 2018 class of Women to Watch.
Rising Star is open to women who work anywhere in the world and nominees can be from any type of company in the advertising, marketing and media industry as long as their position impacts marketing or advertising in some way. Candidates must have only been with their current company for no more than 3 years in a non-managerial role (i.e. they do not manage teams nor are they in a leadership position that makes decisions for the overall business).
Entries for Rising Star are free and the final deadline to enter is Tuesday, March 28 at 5 p.m. EDT.
The 2023 honorees will be notified in May and invited to attend the Leading Women event in New York in August.
