Briefed on Sunday, launched on Thursday: Hook delivers for YouTube's '[email protected]'
Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Hook’s revenue jumped nearly 19 percent last year, to $21.4 million, due in part to the 40 new-business opportunities happy clients referred to the agency, including Quibi, Mailchimp and payments platform Stripe.
Its “[email protected]” campaign for YouTube required building an online hub for families and kids stuck at home because of coronavirus lockdowns—unable to attend school but with plenty of time for screens. The brief came on a Sunday and the campaign launched that Thursday, a turnaround time made possible only by years of working closely with YouTube’s internal teams.
Hook also told the stories of five women for Vital Voices, creating lenslets for the AR product Google Lens that directed viewers to the Google Arts and Culture Vital Voices collection. The traveling exhibition appeared at a gala event with Hillary Clinton and Sally Field. And a Major League Baseball promotion of 14 live games logged more than 17 million views.
