When travel started resuming after the height of the pandemic, Hilton Canada wanted to tee itself up to be top of mind for hotel stays. Thanks to Fuse Create, it got its chance in June 2022 during the Canadian Open. Rather than stick with the traditional 10-by-10 foot booth every sponsor was given, Fuse instead built pop-up Hilton hotel rooms on two golf courses.

The “Hilton on the Green” campaign featured a 200-square-foot hotel room just off the third green at the RBC Canadian Open and at the eighth tee at the CP Women’s Open. The idea was driven by frequent traveler data that showed that 45% of travelers wanted unique and memorable experiences when they traveled. The team worked with Hilton Canada and Golf Canada to run a contest to find six golf fans to get an overnight stay in the pop-up, plus complimentary tournament passes, a personal concierge, golf cart and gourmet meals.
The campaign nearly reached 2 million social engagements and half a billion media impressions.
