Antisemitism group is back in the Super Bowl, with Tom Brady and Snoop Dogg

The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism will return to the Super Bowl, this time with a campaign that appears to take a new approach. The group released a teaser today with an early look at what to expect from its two 15-second commercials on Feb. 9. In the 10-second teaser, Tom Brady and Snoop Dogg appear to butt heads over their opinion of one another. The spot closes with text that reads “2.9.25.” The foundation was founded in 2019 by Robert K. Kraft, CEO of the Kraft Group and owner of the New England Patriots, where Tom Brady was quarterback for 20 seasons and won six Super Bowls. A spokeswoman said that the FCAS will release more details next week that highlight how Brady and Snoop will be more than just faces of the campaign. The FCAS worked with VML on creative for this year’s campaign, and with Mindshare on media buying. Last year, the FCAS’s inaugural Super Bowl spot, which was 30 seconds and came from Quantasy, featured Dr. Clarence B. Jones, a draft speech writer who helped Martin Luther King Jr. with his “I Have a Dream” speech. In the ad, he talked about the importance of speaking out and not being a bystander—a powerful message and call to action the FCAS has promoted before. Both Brady and Snoop are familiar faces in the Super Bowl. Brady was a Super Bowl regular with Kraft’s Patriots (and got his seventh ring with Tampa Bay); now retired from playing, he is the lead analyst for Fox’s Super Bowl Sunday broadcast. Snoop performed in the 2022 Halftime Show and appeared in a 2023 ad for Skechers.
