Dunkin’ will run a national Super Bowl ad starring Ben Affleck that marks the coffee and donut chain's first-ever Big Game commercial.
The actor, who is a fan of the chain, was spotted last month serving drinks at a Dunkin’ drive-thru in Medford, Massachusetts, sparking rumors that it would be for a Super Bowl ad, according to January reports in outlets including Complex and TMZ.
A person familiar with the matter confirmed to Ad Age that Affleck will indeed appear in a Big Game ad. His wife, Jennifer Lopez, was also spotted with him, but it is unclear if she will appear in the ad.
“We’re airing our first-ever Super Bowl ad this year, but you'll have to tune in on Sunday to see what’s 'Ben' brewing,” Jill Nelson, Dunkin's chief marketing officer, said in a statement without revealing too much about the chain'splans.
Dunkin' hinted at the ad strategy on Instagram and Twitter on Monday.
