Watch Booking.com’s Super Bowl spot with Tina Fey—and other familiar faces

Booking.com is turning up the celebrity dial for its third Super Bowl spot. Tina Fey headlines the new 30-second commercial and she’s joined by some doppelgangers as the hospitality brand seeks to promote its flexible offerings. “With so many choices on Booking.com, there are so many Tina Feys I could be,” says Fey in the spot, which continues the brand’s Booking.yeah campaign. “So I hired body doubles to help me out.” The ad showcases Jane Krakowski as “Splurgy Tina” and Glenn Close as “Wild Tina.” Along with Krakowski, the spot also reunites Fey with another “30 Rock” costar, Jack McBrayer. The brand is no stranger to big names. Last year, it tapped Melissa McCarthy for a ballad; its 2022 ad featured Idris Elba. In a release, Booking.com cited a survey stat from its own 2024 predictions research that 64% of travelers feel “main character energy” while on vacation versus at home, and 50% claim to have a travel alter-ego. “This year's Booking.yeah campaign shows that travelers can book whoever they want to be by using our seamless app, with a wide range of unique places to stay across the U.S. and the globe,” said Arjan Dijk, senior VP and chief marketing officer of Booking.com in a statement. The ad, scheduled to air in the second quarter of the Feb. 11 game, was created with the New York office of Zulu Alpha Kilo, the Canadian agency that also worked on last year’s Booking.com Super Bowl ad. The trend has petered out more recently as such marketers focus on other channels. Booking.com was the sole hospitality brand in the 2023 game and, as of now, it is retaining the distinction this year. The marketer created additional ads of 15-second lengths to augment the Super Bowl campaign, along with a 90-second extended version of the Tina Fey spot.
