Duracell is bringing its new Duracell Scientist spokescharacter to the Super Bowl, confirming Tuesday that it will air its first national in-game spot during the Feb. 9 game.
VaynerMedia introduced the character in October and is handling the Super Bowl creative as well. In the launch ads, the muscle-bound Scientist, the Berkshire Hathaway brand’s first new ad character in 36 years, shows up when people are about to make bad battery decisions.
The ads highlight what Duracell calls its “Power Boost ingredients,” a blend of nickel and lithium that it says no other battery has.
