As expected, Rocket Mortgage, the digital mortgage lender of Quicken Loans, will return to the Super Bowl. The Detroit-based brand stated today that it will have two spots, both starring comedian Tracy Morgan.
Rocket released a 19-second teaser starring Morgan. In the clip, Morgan invites viewers to “join me Sunday for my Super Bowl commercial with Rocket Mortgage.” He then tries unsuccessfully to catch a football thrown by his “grandma” who is off-camera.
One spot will focus on Rocket’s technical prowess; the other will highlight mortgage brokers. Rocket Mortgage said Highdive was its agency-of-record for both commercials, which are 60 seconds in length. They will air in the second and third quarters.
This is the fourth Super Bowl appearance for Quicken, which last year had a spot, also with Highdive, that starred Jason Momoa from “Aquaman.” The company has made a habit of including celebrities in its Super Bowl commercials, including an appearance by Keegan-Michael Key in 2018.
