Squarespace, a regular Super Bowl advertiser, is returning to the game this year with a 30-second spot set to air during the Feb. 9 telecast on Fox.
Squarespace to air its 11th Super Bowl commercial
The website company posted a teaser for the spot Thursday morning, titled “A Tale as Old as Websites,” showing a man riding a donkey down a country path with Irish bagpipes playing in the background. The man is seen throwing laptops from a bag over the stone walls as he rides.
The company told Ad Age that the new spot “reflects a unique creative ethos and an ongoing dedication to design and originality.” No other creative details were available.
This is Squarespace’s 11th Super Bowl spot. Last year’s ad was directed by and starred Hollywood director Martin Scorsese. The company’s past spots have featured celebrities such as Adam Driver, Zendaya, Jeff Bridges and John Malkovich. (The latter spot won an Emmy Award for best commercial.)
