Uber Eats’ Super Bowl teaser stars David and Victoria Beckham

Uber Eats will feature David and Victoria Beckham in its Super Bowl commercial. And to tease the spot, the brand spoofs a well-known scene in the celebrity couple’s Netflix series. The teaser, released today, shows the Beckhams stumbling over details of the “big commercial,” including butchering the name of a co-star in the ad, referring to Jennifer Aniston as “Jessica Aniston.” Aniston won’t be the only other celebrity to appear. Uber plans to unveil more celebrities closer to the game. The teaser leans into a moment in the “Beckham” Netflix series when Victoria Beckham said that her family was working class, to which David, poking his head into the room, demands that she “be honest” and asks what car she was driven to school in. The teaser shows a similar setting as the scene, with David butting in on Victoria. “In the ’80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce,” she said in the series. The retired soccer player previously stripped down to his skivvies to rep his Bodywear line with retailer H&M, first in 2012 and again in 2014. This will be UberEats’ fourth consecutive Super Bowl appearance. The 60-spot from Special Group and directed by Jake Szymanski will air in the third quarter of the Feb. 11 game on CBS. UberEats competitor DoorDash will also air a Big Game ad.
