U.S. Mint : 2010 Lincoln Penny

February 17, 2010 12:00 AM

The U.S. Mint recently unveiled the new 2010 penny, with a tails side design meant to represent President Abraham Lincoln's preservation of the U.S. as a single, united country. The heads side remains basically the same, depicting the Victor David Brenner-created mug from 1909. The reverse side now features a union shield bearing a scroll that reads "One Cent."
