Continuing its history of artist-themed branding, on Labor Day Weekend in NYC's Times Square, Target will erect six artist-created billboards (rendering pictured) that will later be converted into Anna Sui-designed bags.
Mother New York brought together four local N.Y. artists—Laurie Rosenwald, Michael Anderson, Josh Goldstein and Charles Wilkin—to create six billboards inspired by New York and the Target bullseye.
The billboards will remain in Time Square through October, but starting on September 4, customers will be able to order totes on the Target website for $29.99. Consumers will be able to customize their bags and select from which billboard they will be created. Buyers will then receive their bags in January 2010.
