Nike Silences Kevin Durant's Critics in Ad Celebrating Golden State Warriors' NBA Finals Win

Spot Aired in Break After Last Night's Final Buzzer

Nike was quick to celebrate Kevin Durant's triumph last night as the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

The brand aired a spot right after the final buzzer that takes aim at the player's critics and some of the accusations he's faced over the last few years. The ad shows a massive circle of different commentators repeating harsh words about Durant from throughout his career-- from he's "weak," he's "soft," he can't play defence to the barrage of insults he faced when he signed with the Warriors ("traitor," "gravy train" etc.).

However, the cacophony of criticism all comes to a halt with Durant's team winning, as the critics are all forced into silence, and the ad ends with the words: "Debate this."
