Desperados turns two small apartments into one giant house party in latest 'epic' event

Experiential campaign by We Are Pi is aimed at space-starved Spanish consumers

Desperados, the Heineken-owned tequila flavor beer, continues to serve up user-generated creative ideas for parties in its "Epic House Party" campaign.

Following earlier ideas including a party that required no cleaning up and an event that banned phones, the latest idea from Amsterdam-based agency We Are Pi, together with event agency Vampire, showcases a party designed for people whose apartments are too small to party in. 

The idea came from Barcelona DJs Edgar Candel Kerri, Subshock and Evangelos, who said their apartment was only big enough for about six people to dance in. Desperados used 70 two way LED screens to connect two apartments, with people in either apartment able to interact with each other. They could choose to surprise each other with confetti or neon lights as well as combining their music to make sure the same tracks were playing in each apartment.

Desperados says the campaign addresses a need in the Spanish party scene, as the cost of housing means that two out of three people in the country now live in apartments. 

The campaign continues, with people encouraged to suggest their own party ideas on social media using the hashtag #WeAretheParty.
