Collaborations are, of course, a big thing these days in the world of fashion: Adidas x Alexander Wang. Louis Vuitton x Supreme. Nike x Off-White. Now, Diesel is getting in on the game, but with its signature ironic twist in its latest from Publicis Italy.
The brand has debuted its own limited-edition collection, teaming not with a high-end fashion label but rather, another type of "creator" who draws hours-long queues of people waiting to get their hands on his goods--delicious kebabs.
The Diesel x Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap is a new collection inspired by the cult kebab kiosk in Germany. The line includes sweatshirts, t-shirts and hats featuring stylized interpretations of Diesel and Gemüse Kebap's logos. To tease the goods, Diesel and Publicis created this cheeky video mocking the collaboration trend in the fashion world, teasing how cool brands team up with cooler brands and then even cooler brands to up their cred.
The pieces will go on sale at Berlin's Bread&&Butter streetwear festival on August 31 and then, from September on diesel.com and at select Diesel stores.
