Editor's Pick

Leo Burnett Chicago's Avery Gross and Brian Shembeda make make art out of waste with Fine Art Fridges, a recent initiative for electric company ComEd. To raise awareness for the company's refrigerator recycling program, they commissioned local artists to transform nine recycled ice boxes into stunning outdoor art pieces, depicting themes ranging from wildlife to architecture. Pieces include VooDoo Larry Grobe's "VooDoo Hot Rod," created out of a vintage 1950s Philco fridge and Nicole Beck's mosaic treatment celebrating wildlife in the Gulf of Mexico. The pieces will be on display on Chicago's Michigan Avenue until September 15. They can also be viewed on the Fine Art Fridges Faceboook page.
