First dates get a little easier with Tinder and e.l.f.’s cute collab
The brands team up on a ‘Put Your e.l.f. Out There” Vault collection as well as a playful spot from Mischief

Beauty products and dating apps are a natural match, and now Tinder and e.l.f. Cosmetics have teamed up for a product collection—and a spot from Mischief @ No Fixed Address parodying the dating scene.
In the ad (above), a woman who’s getting ready for a first date is interrupted by her reflection in the mirror (never a good sign). The reflection is the woman’s insecurities personified, as she begins to dread what’s in store for the date. Soon, we see all the unfortunate scenarios that could unfold, with her date being overly pretentious, bro-like or just too familiar (how she matched with her ex is anyone’s guess).
Eventually, the woman banishes her Debbie-downer alter ego and proceeds confidently with the date, come what may—with an assist from the new Tinder x e.l.f. product collection (which is shown in the final shot of the ad).
The e.l.f. x Tinder “Put Your e.l.f. Out There” Vault collection will be available starting today (while supplies last) for $45 on the e.l.f. site. It includes a custom tin Tinder Box with two lip oils and a mini lip liner; All Slick No Ick face primer; Set-Uationship setting mist; and a Flame Changer makeup bag.
As we saw with e.l.f.’s “Corpse Paint” Liquid Death collab, the Tinder package features existing e.l.f. products reskinned with the partner company’s branding.

Kory Marchisotto and Melissa Hobley, chief marketing officers at e.l.f. and Tinder, respectively, described the two brands as kindred spirits devoted to self-expression and empowerment. “Together, we create a constellation that further fuels our community’s confidence,” said Marchisotto. “The majority of Tinder users are 18 to 30 years old, so working with their favorite beauty brand was a no-brainer,” added Hobley.
The work was also informed by new research, commissioned by Tinder and e.l.f., in which 80% of singles said having a get-ready routine impacts their confidence on a first date and 35% see first dates as the perfect opportunity to try new makeup looks.
“I’d love to tell you I had the confidence of braving a first date with absolutely no makeup on in my single days,” said Bianca Guimaraes, executive creative director at Mischief. “But the truth is, the right touch of eyeliner and lipstick always gave me the boost I needed to stop overthinking, get myself out the house and go meet someone new with no expectations aside from having overpriced pasta. This unexpected union of Tinder and e.l.f. is actually totally expected in the best possible way. Go forth and face that date.”
