Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 Helps Lovers Get Creative in Adorable Emmy's Spot

Different Ways to Say 'I Love You' With a Device

Editor's Pick

We've seen several ads recently that show the deterimental effect that smartphones can have on relationships: Ray-Ban and Levi's are just some of the brands that have explored the theme. But a new spot for Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 that aired during last night's Emmy's broadcast reminds you instead how the smartphone's technology can help you say "I love you" in all sorts of new ways.

The ad, created by Wieden + Kennedy Portland and directed by Biscuit's Isaiah Seret, shows a couple flirting and getting together by doodling, drawing and finally summoning up the courage to say "I love you" with the device's S pen and live messages (there's a brief moment of terror when she texts him the message and he replies "Who dis?"). It's a cute spot that shows you that smartphones perhaps aren't all bad when it comes to connecting lovers in real-life: and does a great job of showcasing the phone's features.
