The lion’s tail wasn’t enough.

General Motors has once again tweaked its logo to celebrate the historic Detroit Lions season. The Lions are playing in the NFC championship game on Sunday for the first time since 1991—and Detroit-based GM has now added an animated “Grr” to its logo, as seen at the top of its Renaissance Center global headquarters.

“The Lions have become America’s team and the energy around them is absolutely electric," said Joe Jacuzzi, VP of cross brand marketing at GM. "We are happy in joining Lions fans around the country and once again to show our support for our home team.”

The creative work was developed by McCann Detroit in conjunction with Jack Morton Worldwide, two main GM agencies at Interpublic Group.
