Advertisers continue to get more frank when it comes to bodily functions—from Phillips' laxative ad saying you deserve a good poop to Frida Mom's ad highlighting the highs and lows of breastfeeding. The latest campaign to get graphic comes from Gold Bond, the Sanofi body powder brand, which takes a humorous approach to the male problems of sweaty balls and stinky feet. Created by agency Terri & Sandy, the campaign includes a one-minute anthem, running online, in which men discuss their perspiring orbs throughout the course of history via a series of more and more hilarious euphemisms. From the Roman Forum to city slickers in the '80s and astronauts in space, some of the choicer terms include "swamp schlong," "between-the-thighs slip-n-slide," "meatballs with extra sauce" and "man meat feelin' the heat." Nalle Sjoblad at Spark & Riot directed the spot, which is running across social media including Facebook and Instagram. There are also two 15-second TV spots, one focusing on the balls again and one on cheesy feet, in which an older sage (called G.B. Powders) dispenses wisdom to younger guys on their sweat problems in a quasi-philosophical manner.
