Walmart Hypnotized Adults to Make Them Feel Like Kids Again at Christmas

Stunt Sees Them Behave Like Excited Children on Christmas Morning

Dec 19, 2016

Walmart helps adults feel like little kids again at Christmas in this heartwarming stunt, in which it employs a hypnotist to help them forget how stressful the holidays can be for adults.

The spot, by Saatchi & Saatchi New York, starts by acknowledging that while Christmas is magical for kids, for adults it can simply be a lot of work and worry. Hypnotist Chris Jones is then placed with a group of adults who have admitted that they find Christmas stressful, and hyponotises them into being kids again. Their reactions are delightful to watch, as grown men and women rush to rip open presents and play excitedly with toys. Afterwards, they're shown the video of how they behaved, and while they can't remember it, their emotional reactions may make you shed a tear, too. Peking at Hey Wonderful directed the film.
