It's the end of an era today as Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel bows out after 16 years in office.

To mark her departure, Ikea paid tribute with a timely print ad appearing today in two German daily newspapers, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. It simply shows a Merkel lookalike sitting in an Ikea armchair in a plainly furnished room, with the caption "Home at At Last."

The ad, created by Thjnk Berlin, is also running widely on social media.
