Ice cream trucks rolling through America’s neighborhoods are a rite of summer dating back more than a century, when Good Humor introduced the first ice cream truck—peddling the original “ice cream on a stick”—in Youngstown, Ohio.

The tradition continues, but today’s ice cream trucks tend to be more nostalgic throwbacks than big money-makers. But this summer, Jiffy Lube and Good Humor are helping them out with a program called “Keep Summer Rolling” that will help pay for vehicle maintenaince to keep the trucks on the road.

Any ice cream truck that meets the Jiffy Lube vehicle qualifications can apply for a complimentary maintenance voucher that can be used at participating Jiffy Lube locations while supplies last. Drivers can apply for a maintenance voucher, and consumers can find discounts on summer car care, at jiffylube.com/keepsummerrolling.
