Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola Direct Prada Short film
A very French love triangle stars actress Lea Seydoux
Editor's Pick
Prada seems to have a knack for high-fashion film that are actually entertaining. We saw this last year when Roman Polanski directed the delightful "A Therapy," starring Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kingsley. Now, the fashion house returns with the clout of both Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola, with a new short for the Prada Candy fragrance. It stars French actress Lea Seydoux (Midnight in Paris) as a starlet caught between the affections of two young men.
The film was released via three separate episodes. It's filmed in a beautiful, delicate aesthetic (just look at the gorgeous arrangement of candles on the decorated-with-a-bow cake!) with striking symmetry used to frame each shot. At the end of each episode, the fragrance gets a plug. Only one problem: For those who enjoy a sense of closure, the end is not quite as satisfying as the rest of the film was.
