Meow Mix dreamed up a feline boy band for its latest jingle remix

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Well, maybe remix it. In the latest iteration of its “Remix” campaign, Meow Mix has once more reimagined its iconic “Meow Meow Meow Meow” jingle. This time, the cat food brand tapped into ’90s nostalgia with a boy-band remix featuring JC Chasez of NSYNC. The spot features Tabby 5—Meow Mix’s new cat boy band—performing a classic ’90s music video. The furry quintet dance to cheesy choreography in matching all-denim outfits inside an airplane hangar, reminiscent of the music video for “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys. It even starts to rain for maximum emotional effect before Chasez comes on screen and sings the tagline, “The wet food cats ask for by name.” The campaign was produced by Publicis’ PS One and creatively led by BBH U.S. MSL, the PR arm of Publicis’ PS One team, brought the campaign to social media with several feline influencers, including cat dad Kurt Tocci, encouraging their followers to participate in a branded duet with Chasez.
