Nothing can stop teamwork in Microsoft's pandemic-inspired ads
Spots from McCann promotes 'Teams' platform
Editor's Pick
Microsoft shows how its Teams platform is helping businesses and organizations to co-ordinate their Covid-19 relief efforts during the pandemic in a global TV ad which itself was created entirely on the platform.
The spot, by McCann New York, features companies and organizations including the The London Metropolitan Police, L’Oreal, healthcare organization St. Luke’s Health and the University of Bologna in Italy. All the films were created entirely on Teams, with no director, no crew and no traditional video shoot, but instead using footage grabbed from real Teams meetings.
The ad highlights how the organizations are using Teams for different purposes during Covid-19: for example, L'Oreal is using it to co-ordinate its project to make hand sanitizer, while St. Luke's is using it to share important healthcare information such as X-Rays.
A second spot, highlighting St. Luke's use of Teams in greater detail, broke during the NFL Draft; Microsoft is an NFL sponsor and the NFL is using the platform to communicate with its teams.
The films are running in Microsoft’s core markets of the U.S., U.K., France and Germany and will also roll out in eleven additional countries: China, South Korea, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong.
