Chicago's Z Factory has created a new identity and package design for the relaunched NutraSweet, playing up the sweetness of the brand's iconic swirl. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, NutraSweet, in a new partnership with American Sugar Refining, owner of Domino sugar, is reintroducing the artificial sweetener in what has been billed as a better-tasting formulation. An initial rollout limited to East Coast Wal-Mart stores is expected to be followed by national distribution. "There's so much equity in the NutraSweet swirl, it was apparent from the start that it needed to be a focal point on any new design," says Z Factory principal Cary Zartman.
