‘The Offer Mobile’ uses an algorithm with local housing data to give real-time feedback

Getting an offer on selling your home traditionally requires appraisals, photography, a real estate agent and lots and lots of patience. 

Opendoor’s business model aims to change that by simply evaluating photos uploaded to its website. A new campaign from the digital platform eliminates all those steps by using a mobile truck to drive around and give offers.

Created by independent agency L&C, “The Offer Mobile” is a vehicle that drives around different neighborhoods making offers on homes in real time using an algorithm built into a giant model of the Opendoor website. The algorithm analyzes data from local housing markets in specific cities and quickly estimates the value of a home as it’s parked outside.

The campaign aims to show how hassle-free it can be to get an offer on Opendoor. So far, the truck has circulated neighborhoods in Nashville, Tennessee, with the potential to expand into other markets.

“We strive to find surprising, creative ways to educate consumers on how easy it is to sell your home to Opendoor. You can get an offer in minutes and sell in a matter of days,” said Lauren West, head of creative marketing at Opendoor.
